This steampunk piece represents our broken education system. The bones are laid bare showing the dysfunctional cogs and the tears in the canvas represent the big gaping holes in the very core. The education system is letting our kids down. Little children go in one end of the institution and many find they don't fit the mould that the system forces on them. They are all expected to come out at the other end of this machine identical so they fit into what the Government and society thinks is acceptable. Children are all different and there are many ways in which they need to learn. Our system has one way only. It is broken.
